Mickey Newbury uses the common trope of humanizing the inanimate to point out the flaws and burdens of living a sentient life. But Georgia is a story about a specific human experience. 6plus1’s musicians have played widely together, including a sell-out week at the 2017 Edinburgh fringe. Kno does an amazing job of rearranging Mickey Newbury’s strings to fit Georgia’s narrative about racism and loss.
